Courtney Buckmaster: Courtney Buckmaster is a senior at Greenbrier East High School. Courtney recently became a journalism convert. "I have always had an interest for writing," she said, but I have never really been into journalism unil this year, and not until this year did I realize how powerful of a job it can be. When a journalistassumes his/her responsibilities, they become responsible for supplying credible information to the public." Courtney is a member of the staff of The Spartan Shield, her school newspaper. She is a writer and photography editor. She won first place in news writing in SCORES competition at Marshall this yer and will be editor-in-chief this fall at The Spartan Shield. Barry Rich, her journalism teacher, said "Miss Buckmaster possesses exceptional conscientiousness and exceptional writing prowess" factors that led o her selection as top editor.
